Testimonials
Your posts about anti-racism don’t always make me feel good, and that itself is good. Sheva helped create a safe space where we could be open and honest with each other, which was much appreciated... I loved it! "The accountability group completely transformed my approach towards my dissertation work and gave me the courage to push forward at times I might not have been able to otherwise. Learning new ways to approach tasks and break down the elements of my work helped me to feel more positive towards the work as a whole. Thank you so, so much for your encouragement and for bringing us together each week!!!!!"

"I wanted to write and say thank you. I always perk up when I open LinkedIn and see one of your posts. I appreciate that you share the tough times along with the easy, the rough with the smooth. And I’ve also learned so much from you how to be a better anti-racist and ally to BIPOC communities.
Your posts about anti-racism don’t always make me feel good, and that itself is good. I grew up in a very racist/ homophobic/ xenophobic/ bigoted family, and even though I’m gay, it’s too easy to hide behind the extreme privilege I have as a white man. Thank you for making me feel uncomfortable and have necessary conversations with myself about my privilege and how to harness it to help others. Thank you!" - LinkedIn Message from Anonymous |
"Sheva's Accountability Group was excellent. The sessions were well organized and structured.
We had worked on a communal goals tracker, which was cool. Typing my goals for the group to see helped keep me motivated and on track throughout the 8 weeks. When things didn't go as planned, there was no judgement. In fact, we talked through ideas on how to work through challenges and how to get back on track or pivot when necessary. The other members of the group were kind and supportive. It was just what I needed. Sheva helped create a safe space where we could be open and honest with each other, which was much appreciated. I also felt that the other members wanted to each other succeed in their goals. I loved it! If you're struggling to accomplish a particular goal, need a motivation boost, want to learn tips on how to get more done in less time, or just want a new community, this is the group for you. I highly recommend it." - Amy B Frieze "You have taught me how to accept that privilege is in my life, and that I can’t do anything about that part, and I’m grateful for what I have, but that the responsibility of that privilege is sharing it, spread it around, abundance.
It is not MY privilege. It’s privilege that is in my court right now, meant to share and invite others into. As it comes in, give it away, bring more people in – especially those who have systemically been denied those rights and privileges. I have found the more I dive into my discomfort and the pain of deconditioning, the more softness and love is on the other side as I free myself from the stories of our conditioning. I have so much more love in my life, I am grateful for your leadership every day my friend. If you ever question why you do this, on days when you’re exhausted or you get a shitty email from someone, I will always be a LOUD cheerleader for you and will lift you up the way you have lifted me up. <3" -Minessa Konecky |
